Split and Parse Column
Split an Excel column into useful pieces
Use separators or movable example boundaries to turn packed text into separate columns while keeping the source column.
Open Split and Parse ColumnChoose a text column
Open a supported XLSX or UTF-8 comma-separated CSV, confirm its header when needed, and select combined text.
Show and review the split
Move markers on an actual example or choose a supported literal separator. Review names, spacing and every row's classification. Missing pieces, non-text cells and incompatible shapes appear as exceptions.
Append the reviewed pieces
Acknowledge exceptions before downloading a separate XLSX copy. Original columns remain; exception rows retain their source and receive blank new output cells. Extracted pieces are text, including leading zeros.
What if a row does not fit the rule?
It appears as an exception. Its original value remains and new output cells stay blank rather than silently accepting an incompatible split.
Does it convert text numbers to real numbers?
No. It appends extracted text. Use a deliberate numeric-conversion method in Excel when you need number cells, especially where IDs contain leading zeros. Split One Excel Column Into Multiple Columns — even Without a Delimiter.
What does splitting cost?
Split and Parse Column uses 5 tokens for a completed local action. A verified account receives 200 starting tokens once; the workflow shows the cost before confirmation.
