Terms of service

TidyCell cleans spreadsheets you upload. You review and approve every change before you download, so the final file is your call — check it before you rely on it. Pay only at the download; cancel a subscription in one click; your data stays yours. Don't use the service to break the law or to upload data you have no right to process.

TidyCell (“we”, “us”) provides AI-assisted spreadsheet cleaning: you upload a file, we propose changes, you review them, and you download the result. Features vary by tier as described on the pricing page. We're continuously improving the service, which means features can be added, changed, or (rarely) retired.

• Your files are yours. Uploading gives us permission to process the file for you — to profile it, propose fixes, store it per your tier's retention, and produce your download. Nothing else. Our privacy policy covers the details.
• Only upload what you're allowed to. You're responsible for having the right to process the data in your files (your data, your company's data with permission, etc.).
• Review before you rely. The product shows you every proposed change precisely so you can verify it. The approved download is your document — check it the way you'd check a colleague's work before sending it to your boss, your accountant, or a regulator.

Accounts use magic-link sign-in — you must control the email address you sign up with, and anyone with access to that inbox can access your account. Keep it yours. You can delete your account and its data at any time from the account page.

Cleaning remains local to your browser. If you explicitly save or import a Business Dashboard, you authorize TidyCell to store the selected sheet as JSON with its chart settings until you delete that dashboard or your account. The source workbook is not stored. Replacing Dashboard data creates and validates a staging dataset before it becomes active, but you remain responsible for keeping any source or backup you need.

• Free means free. Cleaning and previewing are free on every file; you pay only at the download, and only when your file needs a paid tier.
• Subscriptions are billed by Stripe and renew until cancelled. Cancel any time from your account page — your plan keeps working until the end of the paid period.
• Single-file purchases cover the one download they were bought for.
• Something go wrong? If you paid and the product genuinely failed you, tell us — we'd rather refund a download than keep an unhappy user's four dollars.

Don't abuse the service: no attempting to breach or overload it, no reselling access, no uploading malware, and no using it to process data illegally. We rate-limit and may suspend accounts that attack the service — that protects every other user's files.

The service is provided “as is.” We work hard to make the cleanup correct — the whole architecture exists so mistakes are visible before they matter — but automated cleaning of arbitrary human mess can never be guaranteed perfect, which is exactly why everything is previewed. To the maximum extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.

You can stop using TidyCell any time and delete your account with it. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; if we ever discontinue the service, we'll give paying users reasonable notice to download their files.
