Compare Files
Compare two Excel files
Find added, absent and changed records between two tables, even when their rows move. Download a separate report of the differences.
Open Compare FilesChoose two tables and a record key
Open two supported XLSX or CSV files and choose their worksheets. Use a unique single or composite key, such as SKU plus Warehouse, to identify the same record on both sides.
Review differences and uncertain matches
Inspect added, absent, changed and unchanged records. Duplicate or missing keys and unverified saved formula results go to Needs review rather than becoming guessed matches.
Download a separate report
Export Summary, Records, Cell changes and Needs review sheets. Changes include physical coordinates and stored values. Original files are unchanged; formulas are compared through saved results rather than recalculated.
What if a record has no unique ID?
Select a single or composite key that identifies the record. Missing and duplicate keys stay in Needs review; the tool does not silently choose the first match.
Does an absent row mean it was deleted?
It means the record is absent from the second table. An export can omit records for other reasons, so the report does not establish a real-world deletion. Compare Two Lists in Excel: What's Missing, What's New, and What Changed.
What does the report cost?
Compare Files uses 5 tokens for a completed local action. A verified account receives 200 starting tokens once; the workflow shows the cost before confirmation.
